What is this pinpointer used for?

Can it tell gold from other metals?
No. It provides metal detection feedback but does not identify the metal type or confirm whether a target is gold, silver, iron, or another metal.
Can I submerge the whole device?
No. Water protection applies only to part of the probe. Keep the button, upper housing, and battery compartment out of water. Follow the supplied instructions for the permitted contact area.
Does it replace a full-size metal detector?
It is intended for close-range pinpointing in a small area. Use it as a companion tool when checking a location you have already narrowed down.
What battery does it use?
It uses a 9V battery. Check your selected package to confirm whether a battery is included.
